Grand Haven, Michigan - Day 4

We spent today in Grand Haven, MI - and put zero miles on the car! We did walk over five miles though, through the nice small downtown and along the Grand River just before it empties into the lake. The weather was perfect - no adjustments could have made it better until very late late clouds came in to zap the Lake Michigan sunset. Of course the sunset was about 9:30pm, and there is light in the sky until past 10:15pm. Part of this is us being in the very western part of the Eastern Time Zone - I am calling it Double Daylight Savings time. For the sunset watching we walked out the pier to the double light houses. They are small but cool red lighthouses. Lot's of people out. There is also a catwalk used by keepers to stay above any rough waves. There is currently a capital campaign to raise restoration funds for the catwalk.

Slept with windows open (in June!)

Waiting in line for a corn dog (?)

Watching the local dancing water / music show. I kept waiting for the Pink Floyd.
