Louisville to Grand Haven - Day 3

We slept in in Louisville (Brown Hotel). After checking out, we had 2 Louisville landmarks in mind before leaving town. One, the Louisville Slugger (baseball bats) factory/museum and the Churchill Downs museum. We choose the Downs museum first. Seeing the hundreds of cars in the lot told us more than a Sunday at the museum was going on. Short version of all of this was the we saw neither of the museums, but took in three races at Churchill Downs, which was very cool. We bet on horses and sat on the front row at the finish line.  Now the weather wasn't cool at all, more like Houston on a bad summer day. Next was a drive up to Grand Haven, MI. to stay with our friend Carol. In the process we got our first rain driving through a cold front, but had wonderful weather on the other side.

We almost had the place to ourselves, but it was really great to be here and see it all.
