Marshall - Texarkana - Memphis - Nashville - Louisville. - Day 2

Because we got away late on the trip, this day became an interstate slog so we could move north faster. We had about 80 East Texas miles before we got to the Arkansas interstate. Today was Marshall - Texarkana - Memphis - Nashville - Louisville. 752 miles. We didn't really stop except at Nashville, where we wanted to take a look at lower Broadway and all the bars, etc. That was quite a scene at 6pm on Saturday night! Many busily working on next morning's hangover.  On a recommendation, we did go though the Hatch Show Print poster shop, which was nice. One pleasant surprise was that the interstate through Kentucky was 3 lanes each way and was a very pleasant, beautiful drive with almost no 18 wheelers all the way into Louisville. A great, very late dinner at the 21C Museum Hotel was followed by viewing the hotel's art (in a museum like setting.)

This was shot at almost a complete stop (unfortunately!)

Excellent food on the road.

Approaching Memphis. Didn’t stop today, but would be back on Day 17.
