Day 24: Norman, OK to Houston, TX

Today was an interstate highway sprint home. An easy drive with none of the rain that has been around southeast Texas since we left. This trip was another great exploration. As these usually go, it was a great mix of things. Friends, relatives, small towns, big towns, mountains, plains, forests and rivers. Interesting people. We covered 5,927 miles.

A stop at the iconic Texas welcome sign always a must for me, since I was a kid.

The last photo. We stopped at this rest area south of Centerville to take a break and get a drink out of the cooler. This is one of my favorite old style rest stops and the kind that get lost to gentrification into the new fancy ones. Heavily wooded…

The End!
